Updates? I'm away from the US now and just happened across something about this on the ADV site. News is sort of sketchy over here unless it has to do with some goober actor/actress or politician doing what they typically do. I won't make this trip this year but I'm sure hoping for next year.
Any news about current conditions or problems would be great.
Thanks all.
Ride safe out there...

I've been looking...haven't seen any updates. It shouldn't affect a trip for 2014, or even later this year.

For whatever reason major fires seem to break out with regularity in that region (see: kms 161-165).

Just checking for updates here. Chairbound displaced Guzzi rider here looking out the window and trying to see a bright spot on the horizon. Always looking for good discussion about that area. Fascinating is an understatement. Hope all is well for you all out there. Too damn cold here to do any more than just think about it.
Stay safe and have a wonderful Christmas out there.
